Photo shoot with Drew Unruh photography

Recently Allure had the opportunity to work with an up and coming photographer, Drew Unruh, for our first “high fashion” photo shoot. We posted a link on facebook asking models to submit head shots and we would pick the best three for our shoot. Our models, Alex Hicks, Lauren Ingram and Caitlin Copland showed up ready to be primped and shot. Teresa and I were somewhat nervous seeing as we have most of our experience with weddings but were excited to practice our high fashion skills. Starting with Lauren, we went for a Japanese baby doll look, accenting her hair with feathers for a look of innocence and playing up her pouty full lips in a glossy red. She has experience modelling so her shoot went flawless, with her pulling out all the poses for her character. Next, Alex was done up in “edgy” meets “beauty” look. Her dramatic eyes and teased up hair were paired with a natural lip and soft braid to bring the two looks together. Caitlin was all rocker with her glammed up eyes and faux hawk. The girls made our job easy and we had lots of fun flexing our skills. Drew captured their looks perfectly and all in all, we had a blast. We look forward to pairing up with him in the future.
