Looking Back

Teresa and I (Jessica) got together in early March of last year to discuss what it would look like to create a business that travels into peoples homes/hotels to create a stress-free environment in which people can be pampered and made beautiful! Teresa, having master skills at makeup, and myself, loving to create designs with hair, thought we would be the ideal team together. Allure Hair and Makeup was created in April after seven years of each being subcontracted out to other businesses for our skills. We had no idea how our business would be accepted and what the response would be. Our name got out quickly by word of mouth and we started booking up well into the summer. We had to work from the ground up to build our portfolio, as we didn’t have many pictures from our past experience. After our first wedding as a team, we did some debriefing and discussed how to make each experience an “Allure” exclusive experience to each and every bride so she could be made to feel like the princess she had always dreamed of.
Looking back on our first official wedding season as Allure Hair and Makeup we are overwhelmed at how well our dream has taken off. From all the encouragement from friends and family, networking and photo shoot opportunities with other businesses, and of course great experiences and outcomes from all our Brides, we just want to thank all of you for embracing Allure.
