I'm ready to book! What are my next steps?Amazing! We can't wait to be a part of your special day! First, we need to make sure your wedding date is available. Start with filling out the Inquiry Form located on the Contact Us page. You will receive an email back from us within 24 hours.
-
How far in advance should I be booking my hair and makeup vendor? We recommend booking your hair and makeup vendor at least 6-10 months before your wedding. However, if your wedding date falls within the prime wedding months (July-October), we suggest booking a year in advance.
-
Do I need a Bridal Trial? We highly recommend a bridal trial for every bride. Trials are used to find out what you want, and sometimes most importantly, what you don't want! It helps to ensure that the morning of your wedding runs as smoothly as possible.
-
Where will the trials take place? All trials will take place at our home salon located in Thorold. The exact address of the salon will be sent via email once booking is finalized.
-
What should I expect at my Bridal Trial?Your bridal trial is an opportunity for your stylist and artist to get to know you and your beauty goals for your big day! The best way to do that is to have open communication, and to share lots of inspo pics! Bring any photos you have for inspiration, and be sure to show off your Pinterest board! If you will be wearing a veil, hair accessories or hair extensions, please bring those with you so that we can properly incorporate those pieces into your desired look. (Hair extensions must be 100% human hair) Preparation is key! To help things flow smoothly and to allow us to get the most use out of your time, please come with your hair and makeup prepped. Hair should be washed the day before and completely dry. (If this is not possible, please come with hair as natural as possible. No flat ironing or product please.) If you have curly and/or frizzy hair and your desired look is smooth, please flat iron hair the best that you can. Please come with your face fully washed, moisturized and free of all makeup (including eyes). We recommend starting a skincare routine 6 months before your wedding day to prepare and hydrate the skin. This will help to get the best results from your makeup application. Lastly, please be honest and open with your stylists! Our goal is to achieve your desired look for your special day, so please let us know if there is anything we can improve on or change for you! We can't wait to help make your dreams a reality!

What does your team need to set up at my location and how should we prepare? Please make sure there is 1 chair (table height, low-back if possible) for each hair stylist, and 1 chair (bar height if possible) for each makeup artist. Please make sure there is significant daytime lighting. Please make sure everyone has washed and dried their hair from the day before (unless agreed upon ahead of time that blowdrying is part of the styling services). Please have everyone's hair in its most natural state (dry, no product, no flat-ironing). Please have all faces washed and moisturized.
-
Is there anything we should tell your before we have our makeup done? Please let us know if you have any allergies or skin sensitivities as we want to make sure we are safe and careful, and that all products we're using can be used on your skin.
-
What is your cancellation policy? You may cancel your services at any time; however, your deposit will not be refunded. In the event of sickness, accident, act of God, or other reasons beyond our control, the ALLURE staff that performed your consultation may not be available. How can I touch up my lipstick throughout the day? Do we receive a lip product with the makeup application? All of our branded lipsticks and lipglosses are available for purchase on the day of your service. This means that if you choose to wear one of our provided lip shades, touchups can be easy all day and night! Simply inform your makeup artist which shade you'd like to wear and purchase, and a brand-new product is yours! However, you are more than welcome to bring your own lipstick or gloss to your service for us to apply for you.
-
Can I bring my own false lashes to my service? Is there an application fee? While we do offer high-quality false lashes, if you prefer to bring your own we can apply them for you. However, since we do not know the quality or state of your false lashes, we can not guarantee that they will last all day/night. We highly recommend using NEW lashes if you choose to bring your own. An application fee of $15 will be charged by your makeup artist.
-
What additional fees may be applied to my booking?Parking If parking cannot be found at the venue/location, a valet parking fee will be added to the bill. Holiday Fee $200 will be added to the bill if a booking is placed on a statutory holiday. Delayed Start An idle stylist (too much waiting around because of not being ready for us), will result in a charge of $75/hour.
-

If you would like a touch-up at some point during your wedding (usually between the Ceremony and Reception), you can hire a stylist to be on call by the hour.
